Groups will prepare here for their own dolphin swim while learning about marine ecosystems, environmental trophic levels, and the interdependence of marine organisms. Students will also participate in activities using the web cam and touch tank to further study local sea life, including the facility dolphins and sea lions.
Did you know:
- A group of dolphins is called a “pod” or a “school.”
- These carnivores will mainly feast on fish and squid.
- Like bats and whales, dolphins use echolocation to identify objects in their environment by sending ultrasonic sounds and listening to the various echoes that return.
