"Our daughter, Rebekah, was a participant in your recent Washington, D.C. Inauguration program. She traveled with the local High School group from Cape Cod, MA. Today, we received a mailing from your company with a $50 check and an apology toward any disappointment that may have been felt concerning her overall experience. I was surprised and impressed with this gesture on your part, and I am writing this note to say "thanks". It was a very classy and savvy choice on your part to extend such a token of good will. Contrary to being disappointed about our daughter's trip experience, we, as Rebekah's parents, were very impressed by the way your company handled two key unexpected aspects of her school's trip.
The first issue concerns the way you were able to relocate the school group to a new hotel when one of the rooms in the original hotel had a burn-out of the room heater. We were amazed that you could arrange this on such short notice given that the general area was over-crowded already due to the inauguration. A second point that we greatly appreciated was that your company was able to arrange for an early departure for the school group so that they could get out of DC and arrive safely on Cape Cod prior to the major snowstorm that hit our area. Your company went a long way in helping parents maintain their "peace of mind" while their child was away.
My husband and I are both educators in separate school systems on Cape Cod. Should the opportunity arise, we will certainly promote your organization as worthy of serious consideration for potential school trips. Thank you for setting such high standards!"

“My son returned from Washington
DC last evening and I wanted to tell you what a wonderful
time he had. Tonight he said he wished he was still there
instead of home! Special thanks to “Mr. D” or
Dave, their tour bus driver. Eric said he was very knowledgeable
as well as very personable, and made the trip a lot of fun.
I also wanted to thank you from a parent's standpoint. It
helped to know that [WorldStrides] made sure the students’ safety was a top priority.” -Parent, Kansas

“From our family
to all of you at WorldStrides, THANK YOU FOR CARING, SHARING

with wonderful, and fantastic stories. She thoroughly enjoyed

"As a parent it is reassuring
to know the rooms are being watched and that there are guards
in the halls at night. We have complete confidence that our
daughter will be safe and secure during the trip." -Parent, MI

“In
one week, [my daughter] and her classmates, were guided through
a whirlwind tour that gave them all a rich and marvelous history
lesson of our nation's [capital]. I am deeply grateful for the
security guards that watched over our young tourists each
night. WorldStrides took great care to ensure the group’s
safety and security. This trip will provide my daughter, and
all her classmates, a lifetime of wonderful and happy memories.
Thank you, WorldStrides.” -Parent, TX

“Going to D.C. really taught me a lot about the history of the U.S. and our wonderful Presidents who made the U.S. what it is now! I had lots of fun; I’ll never forget my trip!” -Elizabeth, Student, NM

“I just recently went to Washington DC with my school. I had so much fun in DC I can’t ever explain it in words. I learned a lot about our country that I didn’t already know. It was amazing how we were always doing something and if it didn’t work out we had a backup plan. We were visiting the White House and right as we got there we were told we had to leave because our president was flying in on his helicopter. Our tour guide wanted us to be able to see the White House so bad he walked us all the way around to the front just so we could get a look at it. We also got to lay a wreath on the Challenger and Columbia Memorial. It was really touching knowing other people that saw it would know our school name and know we had a part in it. The trip was AMAZING. And all the sites we saw were amazing. If I had the choice of going again I definitely would. If you’re thinking if your child should go or not, believe me they should it is a once in a lifetime experience and I’m glad I was able to take part in it.” -Amanda, Student, CA

“The trip to Washington DC was AWESOME. Everything was so cool! The trip was really organized. There was always a backup plan, so we were always busy. The tour guide, Ed Donnelly, was so funny. He made everything interesting, and I learned a lot about him. I thought it was cool how we traveled with another school because we could make new friends. Thanks for making this spring break my best!” - Student, CA
