Paseo del Prado
Paseo del Prado is one of Madrid's main boulevards. It makes up the southern end of the city's central axis from the Plaza de Cibeles to the Glorieta del Emperador Carlos V. Today, the avenue is the location for many cherished landmarks and is a hub for tourism and culture. Along the avenue is the so-called Golden Triangle of Art, which encompasses three world-class museums: the famous Museo del Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, and the Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.

Fun Fact

  • The Plan Especial Recoletos, or the restoration of the Paseo del Prado was approved by the city council in 2005 but has yet to be realized today.
