Champs Élysées
With its cinemas, cafés, and luxury boutiques, the Champs Elysées is one of the most famous streets in the world.  The avenue forms part of the line of the Axe Historique, a line of monuments, buildings, pathways, and streets running from the centre of Paris to the west.

• Champs Élysées means “Elysian Fields”, the place of the blessed in Greek mythology.
  
  
• The Syndicat d'Initiative et de Défense des Champs-Élysées Association created for the avenue and headed by Louis Vuitton regulates all new stores and offices applying for the avenue to preserve its "luxe" atmosphere.
