Carnavalet Museum
Devoted to the history of Paris, this vast museum occupies two adjoining mansions overflowing with sculptures, furniture, paneling, and paintings. The main building, Hotel Carnavalet, was built as a townhouse in 1548 and was transformed by Francois Mansart during the mid-17th century.
