Eton College
Eton College, or the Kings College of our Lady Eton (or just Eton) was founded in 1440 by Henry VI, also the founder of Kings College, Cambridge. Eton is an all-male school located about a mile north of Windsor Castle. Having educated 18 former British Prime Ministers, Eton is traditionally known as “the chief nurse of English statesmen” and is one of the most famous public schools in the world. Other famous alums include Princes William and Harry, Duke of Wellington, authors Shelley and Orwell, and Thomas Lynch and Thomas Nelson, signers of the Declaration of Independence.
