Pre-Trip Inspection
Program
We at Heritage Festivals hope you are having a wonderful school year and want you to know that we are here to help excite your students and assist you with your future endeavors! Orchestra, band,
and choir directors planning international performance
tours with Heritage Festivals or Bowl Games of America
(BGA) in 2009 or 2010 are invited to participate in one of our
Preview Programs.
Choose From Four Destinations
Choose from one of five destinations, or if you prefer, we’ll give you roundtrip airline tickets to the destination of your choice. If you choose airline tickets, certain restrictions apply.
Qualifying
for Travel is Simple
For directors planning an international trip in 2009 or 2010, we invite you to participate in one of our preview programs. Choices include London, China, Rome, Dublin, Paris, and Barcelona. Each trip is air inclusive and free of charge for directors who plan to travel internationally with Heritage Festivals. A non-refundable deposit of $4,000 sent to us before May 15, 2008will qualify you to join us. The entire deposit will be credited as a payment toward your 2009 trip! With a deposit of $6,000 an additional person can also travel with you - two air inclusive trips! Minimum travel group size is 30.
Other Cities and Dates
You can also choose to travel at another time and date convenient to you. We'll have one of our European tour managers meet you in the city you choose. Cities offered on this flexible plan include: Prague, Edinburgh, Dublin, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Berlin, Sydney, Cancun, and more. Call if the city you are interested in does not appear on this list.

Activities |

Heritage
Festivals staff and bilingual tour escorts
will be available 24 hours
a day to help you plan free time and arrange any
special activities you may wish to take advantage
of during the pre-trip inspection program. Prior
to departure, we will provide you with a more
detailed list of special activities you can add
to your trip (any additional charges will be your
responsibility). In the meantime, here are some
activities you may want to consider: |
- Theater
tickets - we'll be happy to purchase
theater tickets on your behalf in advance
for a show of your choice. Ticket prices can
range from $40- $60 depending
on your selection.
- Air
extensions
- at your request we can extend your time
abroad, including changing
your arrival or departure gateways. You will only be charged the cost of the changes if there are any.
- Extended
trip - we will be happy to arrange for extra hotel
nights, rail passes, car rental, or other
travel services.
- A list of additional activities for each city you travel to will be provided to you as options to add.

International
Performance Tours
It's very important to realize that our goal is to develop future
international travel programs with your school or
organization. We feel it is in the best interest of your music program to provide you with this travel experience. The pre-trip inspection program will
not only enable you to better plan your students' musical
experience, but will also help you educate your students
about the cultures and people they will encounter.
Although
you do not need to have a set itinerary in place to
go on the pre-trip program, we can work with you prior
to your travel to begin preliminary planning for your
2009 international performance tour. This will allow
you the opportunity to have a draft itinerary and
pricing available to distribute to students so you
can begin to collect deposits. In most cases, your
final itinerary will change due to performance opportunities
and changes to travel plans. In any case, the pricing
for your international performance tour will not be
affected by your choice to accompany us this summer. Please note, if your group cancels their international
performance tour after you have traveled, your group
will lose all or part of the advance deposit. Deposits
may be transferred to other Heritage Festivals or
BGA international performance tours; however, deposits
cannot be credited to any domestic travel tours.

You can also travel with us even if your future international travel plans do not include one of our four main cities. Smaller groups of directors will be accompanied by our overseas staff. We're excited by
the prospect of you enjoying our preview trips this summer because we
know we can provide your students with the travel
experience of a lifetime!
