HistoryQuest

San Francisco, California

Palace Hotel
April 24-25, 2009

WorldStrides hosted 48 teachers from the San Francisco area on April 24-25, 2009.  The HistoryQuest weekend started Friday evening aboard a luxurious yacht for a dinner cruise filled with fun and entertainment.  Teachers were able to try their hand at different casino games and enjoy the beautiful views of California’s coast.  After the dinner cruise, guests stayed in deluxe accommodations at the Palace Hotel, compliments of WorldStrides.

Saturday morning, teachers were treated to a full breakfast at the hotel. Following breakfast, David Leneker, Vice President of WorldStrides, introduced teachers to the educational travel opportunities available when traveling with WorldStrides.  Guests also met a teacher who currently travels with WorldStrides and heard about his students’ life-changing experiences.  Then, Benjamin Franklin stopped by for a visit and entertained the audience with stories of the founding of our great nation.  HistoryQuest concluded with excitement as teachers won prizes from a raffle drawing!
