Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas April 17-18, 2009
WorldStrides hosted 40 teachers from the Phoenix area on April 17-18, 2009. The HistoryQuest weekend started Friday evening with dinner and a Monte Carlo themed evening of entertainment. Teachers were able to try their hand at different casino games and enjoy networking with peers from their area. Guests stayed in deluxe accommodations at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas, compliments of WorldStrides.
Saturday morning, teachers were treated to a full breakfast at the hotel. Following breakfast, Steve Borenstein, Senior Vice President of WorldStrides, introduced teachers to the educational travel opportunities available when traveling with WorldStrides. Guests also met a teacher who currently travels with WorldStrides and heard about his students’ life-changing experiences. Then, Martha Washington stopped by for a visit and entertained the audience with stories of her life as America’s original First Lady. HistoryQuest concluded with excitement as teachers won prizes from a raffle drawing!
